www.meetup.com - A great new networking site where you can find and list networking groups of everything you can imagine! List your meet ups, meetings, gatherings, etc. and receive and view online RSVP's, attendees, comments, and more.
www.infospace.com - Go here to find businesses and professionals by zip code. Use this for prospecting a particular zip code, or for business to business marketing. Type in your zip code and find businesses by name or by type within the mile parameters you choose. A great way to build a list!
www.ewomennetwork.com - A fabulous women's networking organization covering all topics of women in online businesses. Membership is optional, but they have some great resources right on their website, a free newsletter, incredible live events and regional meetings across the country.
www.yahoo.americangreetings.com/ - Sending e-cards is just one little "Slight Edge" activity I've done for years and has made me sales. www.linkedin.com - A cool site where you can register yourself in your industry and find and connect with others in the same industry or looking to get into yours. It's easy and fun.
www.konnects.com - A professional membership-based networking site. Here you can post and view classifieds, join discussions in your area of business, find networking events in your area, and more.
www.blackbusinessspace.com - Another professional free membership group. Blog, post events, connect directly with members via live chat or IM/emails
Classified Ad Sites:
Post ad copy about the "openings" with your business. Be careful about using the words "home based business opportunity" in your
placements, as you might get deleted. Use words and phrases that state you are looking to fill a "position" or looking for "sales reps" or "travel professionals" and explain the earning potential, with a back-link to your website using "anchor text" as opposed to just www.xxxxx.
com. Or - to play it even safer - leave off your website and just put your phone number.
Social Networking Sites:
Many people know of Myspace, Youtube, and Facebook, but there are a gazillion social networking sites now. Youtube alone gets over a billion hits per day!! So we know this is where the action is at.. And the best part?? It's FREE.. Here are the ones I recommend you plug into now. But realize you should keep up with the newest trends and follow the flow to the "next hottest" sites that emerge.
